Proclamation to the World #3

QVE = Religion for the Future  (a "hopes-day" cult)
===============================================

Cult (dictionary definition):
"A religion:

1) considered to be extremist or false,
2) with followers often living in an unconventional manner
3) under guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
4) with obsessive devotion to, or veneration for a person."

1) The Jewish-Nazarene sect (later known as Christianity),
started-out under guidance of an authoritarian,
charismatic leader who said:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

2) Originally, Christian followers lived in an unconventional manner:
"them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things in-common." (Acts 4:32)

3) Christianity was considered by most to be extremist or false for 3 centuries -- until 313 C.E., when Constantine made it the official state religion, opening the doors for every shady character around to finagle his way into church leadership.

4) Even today, people are accosted & badgered that they MUST have a "PERSONAL" relationship with Jesus-Christ
(elevated to the position of 2nd of 3-Siamese-triplet-gods-in-1),
or they will writhe in unimaginable agony by burning alive in hell for ever, & ever, & ever = obsessive devotion to, or veneration for a person.

According to the definition of a cult,
Christianity = a CULT.

Not saying that it's all bad; only 80%=BS.
The other 20% is quite nice actually.
So we "test and prove all things;
hold fast that which is good."
(1 Thessalonians 5:21)

And as a sort of "3rd-party-verification,"
25Apr2010—03Jul2011 my wife & I made
109 visits to
25 different denominations of
8 very different faith-group-categories:
4 Christian
4 Buddhist
4 Jewish
4 NewThought
4 Humanist
2 Islamic
2 Hindu
1 Sikh

Not to mention that Jesus was among Buddhists
during his (so-called) "missing-years."

So will u be brave enough to attend other faiths than your own?

Remember:
When you go to someone else's wedding,
you are not there to marry the bride
or believe in the church where it is conducted,
but just to be respectful of the people
by attending their celebration
of something important to them.
