Like it or not, the reason we are here is that our ancestors were
better killers than those whose posterity died out. Why are squirrels
skittish? Because those with that instinct survived while the
non-skittish ones became someone's lunch. Why do wars, murders,
bull-fights, dog-fighting, cock-fighting, & violent sports, movies,
& video-games persist? Unfortunately, because those who are alive
today are the posterity of those who evolved those instincts.
Unfortunately, even in religion that is true. Look at the facts. Which religions are the largest? Those which converted people through violence, genocide, murder, burning-people-alive: Catholicism(1.1Bill) & Islam(1.3Bill). They are the largest because they genocided, murdered, burned-alive, anyone who didn't go along with their dictatorship.
Will humans ever learn to survive together through cooperation? Or will they destroy themselves with that murderous warrior instinct, since the fall-out of today's weapons would result in Nuclear-winter (climatic effect of nuclear war; severe effect on climate causing cold weather & reduced sunlight for years, due to soot ejected into Earth's stratosphere).
